In this class, the focus is on building curved piecing skills in a free-form style quilt. Karla Alexander’s well known ‘stack and shuffle’ technique is used to create the individual blocks that make up this quilt. Four squares or rectangles of fabric are selected stacked for good color and contrast, then cut and shuffled to create 36 arc and 4 pod blocks. Optional additional interest may be created by adding elements to the corner arcs and/or adding a shadow or a ray of another color in any of arc or pod blocks. Two additional larger rectangles create the large bottom left and top right pod blocks.
Class time includes a half hour break. Bring a sack lunch.
