Learn how to make a three-dimensional, fabric wreath for the holidays. Jill Boyd, the Quilt Chef, will teach techniques for adding dimension to this favorite holiday wall hanging that you can use year after year because it won't dry out!

This class is intended for quilters who have done some free motion quilting, and would like to improve their skills. Emphasis will be on quilting feathers and various background patterns without marking.

A two session lecture and demonstration class for those familiar with sewing or quilting, who are looking for a refresher course with all of the latest basic techniques. Lots of class handouts and patterns for a homework project are included.

Foundation Paper Piecing will show you how to make intricate, accurate blocks with ease and precision. Anyone can do it! In this class you will make a block which can stand alone, or be combined for a larger beautiful block. You will also learn how to make fast, perfect half square triangles using Triangles on a Roll. Learn the proper technique for hand quilting. Two experienced instructors will get you started, or help you improve your existing skills. Topics will include beginning and ending knots, marking, traveling, proper thread and batting selection, and stitching. Purchase a kit for a practice piece, or bring your own current project.

Learn the basics of free motion quilting, including stipple quilting, improvising, and following printed designs. Your sewing machine should provide either dropped feed dogs or covered feed dogs. A darning foot is required. You will also need to prepare practice pieces, as specified in the class handout, prior to class.

Gather your favorite T-shirts and learn how to create a quilt with them. We'll plan an interesting layout with sashings and borders of added fabrics to enhance the T-shirts in each student's collection. Hands-on work will include preparation and stabilization of the T-shirts for quilt blocks.
