Create a placid summer pond in Hexie style! Using Rebecca Ruth Design's "Dragonfly Pond" Runner & Placemats pattern, students will use a machine paper piecing technique to create a table runner made up of divided hexagon shapes. You can choose a typical blue and green color scheme or give your project a Southwestern flair with purple dragonflies against a beige background.

This class is intended for quilters who have done some free motion quilting, and would like to improve their skills. Emphasis will be on quilting feathers and various background patterns without marking.

Try your hand at the art of fabric sculpture in this class that honors Arizona's southwestern landscape. You will create a "Desert in Bloom" cactus centerpiece featuring a Saguaro cactus, an agave plant and blooming barrel cacti on a quilted fabric base. (Class includes a half-hour lunch break.)
